Horse Heaven Hills AVA, Alder Ridge Vineyard
This is a Rhone style red wine with grapes sourced from Alder Ridge Vineyard outside of Prosser, Washington.
On the nose, we get aromas of dark fruits such as black raspberry, black cherry, plum sauce, cured meats, black peppercorn, star anise and eucalyptus. This is a strong and bold wine that is full-bodied on the palette. The color is deep purple in the glass. We would serve this with roasted or grilled meats, charcuterie, bacon, aged cheeses such as smoked Gouda or pungent cheeses such as Gorgonzola, and dishes that featured onions, mushrooms or peppers.
